Tapestry
Park is an intricately woven, master-planned development divided into
two interconnected, yet very distinct, environments; the vibrant and
livable Town Center, and the Neighborhood, with its parks, recreation,
and community center.
The vision for the Tapestry Park Town Center is to provide a hub of commercial,
retail, and leisure activity for those who live in Tapestry Park
and also for those in the greater Panama City Beach community. Just
a short stroll or bike ride from the residential area of Tapestry
Park, the Town Center will provide a blend of convenient activities,
including upscale retail shops, cafes, distinctive restaurants and
office spaces. Residential flats and loft-style apartment homes
will be available above the public spaces, creating a true mixed-use
urban setting.
With the town center serving as an entrance to Tapestry Park, it
sets the tone for the community in a variety of ways, most prominently
through its architecture. With the common thread of early 20th century
Main Street style, combined with carefully designed elements of
an early American town square and a sleek metro center, the Town
Center will be similar to the retail markets of early 20th century
Main Street with office and living spaces above local pizza parlors
and businesses, all with a 21st century flair. The architecture
and streetscape will be urban and exciting. Residential units will
have overhanging balconies, providing shade and cover to customers
below. Complementing the buildings will be wide, tree-lined sidewalks
promoting the pedestrian feel of a town square. Living and working
in the Town Center, residents and guests will feel like part of
a much larger family, visiting with neighbors and friends in the
common spaces, at the local stores, and strolling down the community
sidewalks.
An on site luxury full service condominium style Inn, The Inn at
Tapestry Park, is in the final planning stages and will be under
construction soon. This boutique style hotel, complete with its
own swimming pool, will enhance the town center as a destination,
while serving as a much-needed upscale service to the residents
of Tapestry Park and the surrounding Panama City Beach area.
Along with retailers and restaurants, you will find everyday services
such as video stores, business centers, and coffee shops. The Tapestry
Park Town Center will provide its residents with convenience once
only found in small town America and inspired by main streets of
northwest Florida and the Gulf region. Leave your car at home, and
walk to the Town Center for an ice cream or a night out. Or pick
up a video and your dry cleaning. Pass your neighbor along the way
and catch up on the events at the coffee shop. Peruse an upscale
arts and crafts shop or show or watch a local artist perform. Enjoy
breakfast at a sidewalk bistro with umbrella covered tables or leisurely
savor a glass of wine at the Top of the Park at sunset. The whole
experience is designed for people to enjoy living to the fullest.

Commercial Structures: The Town
Center encompasses 15 acres of limited commercial uses, office
space, and loft residences and is adjacent to the Neighborhood
on the north and fronts Hutchison Boulevard on the south.
Ground floor uses throughout are a blend of retail shops,
restaurants, and service oriented businesses providing for
the every day needs of the Neighborhood as well as the surrounding
area. Prime office space occupies the second floor of buildings
along Hutchison Boulevard. All commercial structures front
directly on streets, not parking lots, and incorporate ground
floor storefronts to allow and encourage window shopping,
browsing, and pedestrian activity. The pedestrian traffic
generated by this configuration contributes to the energy
and vitality of the Town Center.

Public Spaces: At the main entrance
to the Town Center, a 50 foot wide public plaza separates
the one way streets of Tapestry Park Boulevard. This plaza
extends from Hutchison Boulevard at the south end to Tapestry
Commons at the entrance to the Neighborhood at the north end.
The Town Center Square, a 1/4 acre park, is located near this
plaza and acts as a gathering and meeting place for visitors
to the Town Center. Both the plaza and the Town Center Square
are available for art shows, festivals, concerts, and community
functions.
|
| Vehicular Traffic:
Autos arrive in the Town Center directly from the Neighborhood
and from Hutchison Boulevard (Middle Beach Road), the intermediate
east-west corridor between Front Beach Road and Panama City
Beach Parkway (Hwy 98). On street parking provides adjacent
access to storefronts while overflow parking is conveniently
located behind the structures in hidden parking garages. Loft
residences and offices will enjoy reserved parking. |
